I recently bought a 314 shaft with matching ring work for my SW. The shaft was ordered by a friend of mine from SW ~10 years ago, but he hardly played with it. It's a great shaft. As someone who's grown accustomed to 314, I love it. Maybe it's because the shaft is pre-cat, but it's a much better 314 shaft than the later ones I've had.
People tease me about using a 314 with a SW now and then. But who cares. I think I play better with it. The only problem is that I have too many shafts for my SW. 1 original, 1 aftermarket (non-SW, but matching ring work, Chang Jung-lin's playing shaft when he had the cue), 2 new SW shafts, 1 314 now and 1 314 by SW coming in December.
