Le Pro Tips

About a year or two ago, some of the AZ subscribers complained that the Le Pro tips had changed - they weren't the same, not like they were before.

To those who've used them over the long run, how are they nowadays? And I do know that only about 3 or 4 in a box of 50 are actually hard and the remainder medium or variable at best.

And nothing personal but I prefer from hearing from those who've used lots and lots of them over the long haul.

very inconsistent

I have used lepros for years now. Most of the players around here have me put them on there sticks as well. I have found the quality of each tip in a box to be very inconsistent. Some to the point whre I had to cut it off and put another one on. Sometimes the leather won't come off when shaping them and it just lays down so to speak. When it does this it will not hold chalk at all. I got a box of 50 and like the first ten I did went this way.

The remaining box I own I got about 5 years ago. Anything younger ain't worth 'jack', is what I hear.

I had a LePro on my playing cue and didn't really like it , couldn't really get the spin i wanted , so i changed it to a Elk Master i think , a softer one and i like way better , i had a LePro on my GF cue that is hard as a rock and i use it for my break cue now and it works WONDERFULL for break ..

I think they are not really good tip , well you get one good out of so many .. :(

i've switched from le pro to a triangle
Yep.. Triangle is what I have on my cue now. It will not run the table for you but, is a decent middle of the road tip. I suspect that Archer could make it bark, sit up. & roll over!:D

Triangle is nice but just a bit harder than lepro which some people tend not to like. However I have switched most of my freinds to triangle and they really like them
