So, I play in a smallish room with a small number of tables and it seems like the owner tries to mix the table allocation for league play vs renting tables out to people who want to play. What are peoples opinion on this because it seems like the number of tables available to practice on is always variable and you'd think that people might expect more from their nightly dues than to all be crowded around tables waiting for their turn to practice.
Should rooms with a small number of tables simply not rent tables on league night? On top of this it seems that some rooms will actually charge you trivial amounts of money I'm talking $.50c if you are on a table just prior to when practice time opens. I just leaves a bad taste in my mouth when you contribute a lot of money in a hall and then they turn around and nickle and dime you like this.
