my favorite hard rock band was led-zeppelin. 1968-1980. their drummer was the greatest hard rock drummer by 80 billion times. his name was john bonham. he hailed from the city of birmingham, england. when on tour led zeppelin had personal contracts for each musician. i'm sure some of you heard the contracts arosmith had, no red m&m's, or some stupid shit like that. anyhow, in john bonham's contract was this~~~ "all furniture is to be removed in my hotel room, and a regulation snooker table is to be placed in the room" now, that's some tall order! p.s. in 1980 on september 25th. john bonham drank 40 screwdrivers in 12 hours, and died. he was 32 years old. led zeppelin the world's greatest hard rock band, offically broke up forever december 4th. 1980.

I agree, Led Zeppelen are one of the greats of classic rock. But was this really necessary? You are flooding the board with so many irrelevant topics.

bonzo is the best drummer ever....that man must have the strongest right foot too. They asked black sabbath if they could manage them but they refused since it is pretty ridiculous that a band will manage a band.

Hey Cardinal, I'm not a music expert, but Niel Pert (Peart?) from Rush was always my fav. Can't argue with "Bonzo" either...

Alright Led Zepplin did rock ASS. But being a drummer myself my favorite drummer has always been Kieth Moon, from 'The Who'. Its hard to argue with 'Bonzo' though

:D i'm not a music expert either but with the stuff he did with Kasmir, when the levee breaks, since i've been loving you..gawd damn and with Plants voice and Page's guitar, it just puts me into some sort of trance. The pounding he puts in them drums is just crazy.

drummers and snooker..

Keith Moon and Buddy Rich...and ...I heard from Mike Massey that the Stones also like to have a snooker table in their hotel suites!
