Let it fly

This new IPT is an investors dream. Who else could imagine such a bargain opportunity. Pool, as an opportunity, has been stewing in the back burner for quite some time now with the many attempts to do something with it. The largest problem are the dislikes and egos that stir up the pot to spoil it. Never before have so many organizations fought hard to become better than the next one with limited resources, both money and talent. Flatly, billiards was getting no where.

Consider an investor donating their money to an existing pool organization rather than become a self leader, what a waste of money. Smart money knows that throwing cash into the history of what already exist (today's organizations) will get sucked up real fast leaving billiards high and dry.

Positives comes from the investor who is willing to throw money at something and willing to accept the results no matter what they are. If it makes it, this now becomes a value for other even larger investors buy-out yielding considerable profit to the initial venture. And profit is made. If it falls flat on its face, then simply the attention drawn to it will stir up other investors to try it and hopefully get it right. Either way, it's a win for billiards. The only loss can be created by those jeopardizing it from the inside.

What lacks however is an overriding billiards organization that can set the standards for what goes on in this industry. Maybe this organization can be a creation of this new IPT, a spin off. After all the IPT can only improve in image by having an organization to distract those that feel the IPT wants to rule. This governing organization is separate from the product that IPT is marketing. And why should IPT support one of these existing organization is as foolish as giving your enemies control over your forces. It can not work, it has never worked and we need new. I vote for Mike Zuglin to run this one.

So for IPT, we can all foolishly complain, be jealous or what ever we do to try and destroy it - or we can let it fly. I say let it fly.
