Now here's a game that doesn't get talked about all too often. It's a great after-hours game around me, spend plenty of hours in an empty pool hall and let the expletives fly!
For those of you who don't know the game, it has similarities to golf.
There are six pockets the players shoot into, in this order. The round doesn't end until all players make their ball, and the order for the next round is by the order in which the players made their ball.
Each player has three balls on the table:
1) The solid ball (1-7) used as a cue ball used by that player only
2) The stripe ball (9-15) used as their object ball
3) The cue ball used as... well, a cue ball for every player on the table
The first hole begins like this, and each hole after that starts off with the object ball on the spot.
After the one ball shoots, then the two ball, three and so on. The first shot of the game is a free shot, so no strokes are counted. Once a person's object ball is made, that player starts tallying the strokes for the other players. All shots are one stroke, and fouls count as four.
For example, the first hole's done, and the balls were pocketed in the order of two, four, three, one. Here's how the second hole would start out, using the cue ball to spin the hell out of the 10 trying for the second pocket.
