Has anyone seen or tried this cue? It is getting amazing reviews around this area.

The New Lightning Bolt Break/Jump cue is the most unique cue in the market place. The Lightning Bolt Break/Jump cue is only 12 oz (which gives you extreme speed, power and control on the break. Most people's first reaction is that 12 oz is way too light but Physics dictates lighter the cue the faster you move it the more power is transferred directly to the cue ball which then breaks the rack better. Everyone we’ve had try this cue is amazed at how little power is needed to break a rack of balls wide open.

Lightning Bolt Break/Jump cue features:

G10 Glass Epoxy tip/ferrule
Aluminum 3/8 x 10 pin, radial style
Easy to control, you use only slightly more power than a normal cue stroke.
Second joint in the handle to shorten the cue for jumping.
Cue has a SIM technology “Limbsaver” installed to lower vibration.

i was lead to believe that our own Pat Diveney was part of the design team on that jump break cue...

Personally I like the new designed jump break that Pat has come out with... the thing jumps better than anything I have ever tried and last night I had 6 on the bar box 8 ball break twice!!
It is a monster with very little force required for superb breaks

don't know about the cue, but 12 oz is below the minimum requirment for IPT equipment guidelines which is 15 oz. Which I suppose is ok since IPT is all but dead and APA has no stick guidelines and WPA sanctioned events have no minimum weight. but if the IPT does make a come back and you plan on playing in thier events, i wouldn't recommend this cue. Also the fact that the tip is a glass material, that may not be allowed into WPA sactioned events or IPT either. just some things to consider before dropping acouple hundred on it.

I agree with Daytona

Yep, I believe Pat and Hamilton both had something to do with it and I have tried them but In my humble opinion Diviney J/B cues can't be beat, Nobody has enough money to get mine from me.

So much for subtle good looks. Wow, you'd think if they employed the input of cuemakers such as Diveney that maybe it would look better. That thing's FUGLY.
Interesting concepts though.

12 oz. has to be terrible for a break cue. I have broke with a 14 oz. house cue and it is terrible...I always thought that a lighter cue would break better, but I guess they can get too light. 18 oz. works best in my opinion.

Somewhat of a fallacy

about lighter cues breaking better. With the length of the motion involved for a break, a lighter cue would not necessarily result in that much of a speed increase to make any significant difference in the break. You should break with what feels comfortable for you. People have different muscle structures and strength, and what is right for one, would not be for another.

There are a couple of people here breaking with them and crushing the rack (8 ball on a bar box). Anyway, I'll give one a shot at some point but I was just curious if there were other first hand experiences.
