Anybody run into a road/player nicknamed LIZARD? I think he's out of the South (maybe Texas), might be named Steve *******? Might be barbox player primarily but pretty impressive on the 9 foot tables. Hits 'em good (surprise!?).

Just curious.

got a chuckle out of this part.

It woudn't surprise me that he played good one pocket too. He could have been bald, I don't remember. Came thru here maybe two years ago. Seemed pretty low key. I saw him in an upscale room, played and beat the house 'pro' some 9ball. I didn't see the match, just heard the result. The local 'pro' plays pretty sporty too.

I saw him here about 2weeks, then he was gone.

A good guy to talk to; showed me a couple of shots.

Steve is a soft spoken laid back guy. I used to run a Midnight madness tourney in TX that lasted til 6am and he would sit and talk to me for hours on end. I always enjoyed talking to him... he can get pretty philosophical at times. LOL I asked him how he got the nickname Lizard and he said it was because someone said he looks like a lizard..... He is definitely bald, but I personally didn't think he looked like a Lizard. If anyone on here happens to see him, please tell him Timberly said hello. It's been a LONG time since I've seen him. I miss our talks on Sat nights.

He played in a 9-ball tournament in Washington State last weekend and ended up placing third. I don't know if he is still around or not. I had heard he was going to match up with somebody but don't know if it ever happened. I couldn't tell if he was bald as he was wearing a big, wide brimmed, white hat.

He is still around Seattle. He has been hanging at Dr Cues playing one pocket with Harry Platis. And yeah he plays pretty good. They were up to about 5 grand a game on Sat night. I was having a blast just listening to them talking trash to each other with that much money on the line.

Here is something you can watch for...the first shot.
Lizard usually gets the first good shot of every game. When
I first saw him play a fellow had told me about watching for it
so it was easy to see. He moves very well out of the break and
puts the pressure on early.
