Looking for Cheap Action.

When I say cheap I mean really cheap. I haven't played but a few times in the last 2 years. At my best I was maybe a weak A player. I live around Claymont Delaware and used to play at Royal Billiards, First State Billiards, Drexaline Billiards in PA, and Concord Billiards in Pa. I am looking to play 3 days a week. $20 nine ball sets and maybe $50 one pocket sets. I play really weak one pocket, I was just learning the game when I quit playing. I used to practice some with Josh Brothers. He could spot me the 6 playing nine ball and 9-6 in one pocket. If anybody just wants to play without gambling let me know either way.

You come down to So. Fla and I'll play you some 8-ahead for a soda-pop.

Good luck with the action... I wish I could post up looking for some action, but I'm afraid someone would actually respond

I'll play you some. I"ll play my heart out for chap money, I just like playing the game. 14.1, 1P, 10ball, whatever.....

somewhere inbetween us would be maybe D&D in Thorndale?...

I'm with you AZE. I can't afford the action I already have.

Still looking. I guess the large bets required scared some off.

Same down here. A guy asked me if I wanted to play a couple weeks ago and I said, "What do you wanna play for?" He said, "I didn't mean I wanted to play for anything." So, I said, "No thanks. I don't like banging them around for nothing." For two days after that, I had to listen to this nit hootin' "Watch out! Ace is a money player." Can you imagine? All I wanted to do was play some cheap sets. For me, pool is a game you bet on. Playing for nothing, or just to pass the time, doesn't interest me and I'm sure it wouldn't do anything for my game.

I will play as well. I am from approx the same area as Gerry. Drexeline, Classique (Pheonixville) or Thorndale. Maybe I would even drive to Concord.

The amount of the bets are close to where I like to play.

pm me if you are interested.

I like playing cheap. If someone asks me to play I make them bet something. Ive played for pushups, situps, potato salad, dinner, gumballs and sometimes even money. I try not to scare people off with the prospect of playing for a few dollars, so I will start out real cheap to get them playing. If I ask someone to play I will always offer to gamble so if they dont want to then ok. I dont ask weaker player to gamble, I let them ask me, I try to play as many stronger players as possible but they always go to bed too early.

Well, sick of the lack of action at my regular haunt, I drove up to Spring Hill yesterday where the poolroom was filled with old guys like me, most playing by themselves, not one willing to play for a nickel. As I stood there watching them plod around the tables, taking meaningless shot after meaningless shot, I thought I was trapped in a scene from "Night of the Living Dead."
