Hello everyone,

I am looking for Mezz hybird shaft.
Please give me some comments about it, Price ? feel ? Stiffness ? and etc...

If compare with predator 314, what is the difference......

Thanks in advance..

Ken.

I shot a few shots with Mika's Mezz cue and it felt quite stiff and lively. Definitely stiffer than Predator which IMHO isn't very stiff. And the wood quality seemed to be much higher than in Predators...

But don't take my word on it, I'm not a big fan of Predator anyway. The Mezz cue hit very nicely !

I shot with this baby for a little over two years now. It's standard at 12.75mm and hits quite stiff, solid and have good feedback. I had the taper changed to 12.25mm to soften it up a bit and also fit my short fingers on a closed bridge.

The Hybrid Pro shaft is a normal hard rock maple shaft on the upper half portion of the shaft. The lower half is cored and have a carbon fiber insert on it.

I've shot with a Predator 314 and Z and a Tiger X (with standard 5/16x14) for a while and I kinda like them, but still prefer the Hybrid Pro. Mezz has released the Hybrid Pro II, but haven't played with it and haven't seen it as it's only being marketed in Japan at this time.

It is still a matter of preference.

i'm using the mezz hybrid shaft as well (was using a 314 before that)....i found it to be far more solid hitting and livelier then the 314. It is definitely stiffer than the 314 but i did not find it difficult to learn it's compensation.

Def a good shaft to go for...good luck!
