Looking for past NJ State Tournament winner

Hi,
I'm trying to track down information on my grandfather, Tommy Owens, who supposedly was the NJ Billiards Champion three years running. Since I know absolutely nothing about billiard tournaments, I'm turning to the forums to see if anyone can point me toward a list of tournaments and winners in New Jersey from about 1920 to 1950.

Any help or ideas are greatly appreciated.
