I am looking for places to play in the Washington, DC area.

A friend is bringing a few semi pro woman players through DC and we are not familiar with the area.

Thanks!

Based on the city, type in mapquest and get motels and then you can get rates, call the motels and get exact locations and directions from the tournaments you are going to.

When you say DC, are you talking about DC proper, northern va DC suburbs or Md DC suburbs?

If you are talking about CAT, that is usually Rockville MD or Laural, MD. If you stay in Rockville, rates are high. If you out a little, rates usually a lot lower but within 30 minute drive. Laurel is less expensive for motels.

Hope that helps.

Places to play - DC area

Busy Kitty - Go to playpool.com and use the Tournament Finder and/or Poolhall Finder functions at the top. You can type in a range of miles around a given location and get all within that radius.

You may want to call first to make sure they're still open - some of the listings may not have been updated in a while. HTH

I might have what your looking for, i used to play around there all the time, East Coast billiards in woodbride, rack and roll in Mananasses, and fast eddies in spring feild all have alot of action, if your looking for a upscale apmosphere gators billiards or sea sea & co would be good places. these are all N VA places, I dont remember the names of many more

yeah I used to go there every day, they have made alot of changes to the place since ive been there, if your just looking for a good place to hang out Brittenys sports bar in woodbridge is nice, they have two bar tables and the chalk board is always full of names to play the winner

Kitty,

The best places to play in MD are

Champion Billiards in Rockville and Laurel
Orange Ball Billiards in Rockville
USA Billiards in Laurel
Grand Billiards in Gaithersburg

In VA there is

Champion Billiards in Arlington
Fast Eddie's in Alexandria and Fairfax
Hard Times

When do you plan to be in town? If you are looking for action just let me know. I live about 20 minutes from DC and can help you match up. Good luck!

I live in Leesburg, Virginia. I looked on the web and found 62 pool halls within 50 miles of my house. I live 35 miles from Wash. D.C.. Many of them have weekday and weekend specials. First Break in Sterling, Weekdays, buy lunch or dinner, free pool from 3pm to 7 pm plus happy hour beers. Saturday and Sunday, buy breakfast or lunch, free pool from 10 am to 4 pm.
See ya, Don
