Need some cue advice

Hey everyone! I'm new to the boards and was looking for some advice.

I'm looking to purchase another cue and have hit with a few different things... but was wondering if anyone could toss out some other ideas I should look at. I currently shoot with a predator with a stainless steel joint... I like the stiffness of it, but would like to change to a softer hitting joint (implex/ivory or something like that). I've hit a few balls with a gilbert jump/break and really liked the feel of that cue so might be going with a gilbert. But is there anything else ya'll can recommend me checking out?

Didnt really like the Schons, Prather, Espiritu, and Olivier I've hit with.

Looking for a good stiff hit with a soft feel from the joint :) Not looking for fancy looks, just a good solid playing cue.

Oh... and can anyone tell me how a Blue Grass cue hits?

Thanks!

Yes, Bluegrass cues in my opinion play fantastic with a solid hit ,no "whip" to them and with a Moori tip seem to move the ball around great..... Now of course the "hit" is hard to explain and is of course subjective to everyone...They play similar to Southwest cues ..
