I picked up a McDermott D1 from a member here. It's seen better days, but everything is straight as an arrow! The original shaft is out of the picture. While still very straight for 20-30 years old, it's not the hopped up supercharged V8 like my Tiger Ultra X. So, that leaves just the butt to be worked on. I'm looking for a cuemaker that has the time and actually wants to/doesn't mind doing this for me and at a reasonable price.

I'm not looking to restore the cue, I'm looking to modify into a solid player.

Work to be done:
Face off butt cap
- The original buttcap is chipped badly on the inside near the bumper.
I'm not worried about losing length on the cue.
It would probably need to be trimmed down 3/8" or so.
Lengthen wrap groove
- I want a linen wrap added from the front of the existing wrap to within 3/4" of the buttcap end.
Refinish
- I understand the cue will need a refinish, but it will be the butt only.
Bumper retrofit
- I'm not 100% positive, as I have not removed the bumper yet to inspect everything.
I'm almost positive something would need to be retrofitted to have a bumper flush after removing material from the buttcap.
Again, I'm looking for someone to do this simple work without any hassles.
My first choice would be to send it to Ryan Theewen of RAT Cues/Mueller's.
However, I'd like to give some other AZer's or upcoming cuemakers a shot at this.

Also, don't tell me the work will cost more than the cue is worth, because I flat out don't care. The parts and labor put into each one of my Dad's hot rods are more than the car is worth and I'm fine with that.
