I have an old custom cue with a large 3/8x10 pin into wood that is now quite loose due to age. Any help out there for getting those threads tighter? I have heard that adding paste car wax with a q-tip works. Anything else? Thanks to all.
I agree with Kim. The problem with the standard
3/8x10 is, the wrong size tap and the hole size should have never been a 5/16. It's to big for a screw with a .281 minor
Cleaning the threads with thinner and a cue tip and then using thin super glue on the threads will help. But you should have a experienced repairman do this as he may need to re-tap it if it gets too tight.
