Can someone who has own one of each give me there opinion on each shaft? How do they compare to each other?

Predator takes the cake in this matchup. The katana is a good shaft but the predator is made better and the deflection tests show it being much better.

Ps, I owned a katana for 2 days and sold it because I didn't like it. It felt cheaply made and didn't play well

I have not tried either but if you are looking for an LD shaft I would check out a Jacoby Hybrid. I was at a tournament this week and Jacoby had a booth and and cues to try. The Hybrid shaft is very impressive from a deflection standpoint. I was going to have some McDermott G-Cores made for my Schon but I am now considering going to Jacoby. I want to try some Predators first too though.

314-2 deflects more than the Katana. As for the quality of construction, I don`t agree with 80P, the Katana shaft feels very similar to 314-2, maybe a little more feedback in the Katana shaft.
It sux that the katana shafts don`t come in 30" length as it`s a great shaft for the price.

I don't know about Katana but I love the new 314's from Predator.
I have one with a soft kamui black on a Schon cue and it shoots amazingly well.
I have tried OB and some of the others but the 314 really did it for me.
