Ok,
I have now had this cue from Lee over at LP Custom Cues for about a week now. I have been shooting with it every night for the most part. All I can say is WOW.
This is the second cue he ever made for sale, (from what he has told me, the others were prototypes etc..) This cue feels amazing, the joint is rock solid and tight. (original thread on it here... http://forums.azbilliards.com/showthread.php?t=134191)
specs
Ebony joint
5/16-14 piloted
black collars
maple forearm
bocote lower section
ebony buttcap
1 shaft
12.76 mm
brown phenolic ferrule
lepro tip
weight 19.25 oz.
balance point 18.25
length 58 inches
Now I am no great player (anymore) C/B I would say. With this cue and its hit and feel, my game has improved dramatically. As someone else had mentioned in another thread the joint seemed a little wider at the ends then the middle, and I asked Lee about this. He said that since its a Ebony joint he makes it a little wider around there to protect it from cracking. Which I say is a good thing, since I already have cracked the Ebony butt. MY OWN FAULT, was letting it slide down and hit the bumper a little to hard.
The finish on the cue is remarkable, very high gloss and tough. I will be sending this one back to him to be repaired but only after the one he is working on for me now is complete. I do not want to let go of it yet.
