I've got a six point cue by a local maker outside of Philly by the name of Big Jim. I've had this cue for a few years and its just been sitting around in my case. Jim is known locally for his cues. It's unlikely that you've ever heard of him as hes only made around 50 cues or so in his career. They've got a nice stiff hit and have been played with by nearly every serious Philly player I know.
Specs:
Butt 28" 14.1 oz
Shaft 1 29" 3.6 oz 12.25mm ivory ferrul
Shaft 2 29" 3.8 oz 12.5mm ivory ferrul
Overall length 57"
I'm unsure what kind of tips are on there. I'm thinking a sniper and a lepro.
Joint flat faced 5/16x14 linen
Cue rolls with a slight taper roll, but nothing leaves the table and there's no lift at the joint.
This cue could benefit from a refinish and a rewrap job as both are original and show wear. There's a mark in the one picture that is a finish chip. It doesn't go through to the wood, just the finish.
NO LONGER FOR SALE.
If you've got any questions feel free to PM me.
