They had a 4 man Winner-take-All Invitational Speed Pool Tourney in Vegas and Luc dominated. I Know he is a fast player but im not sure he had 'Speed Pool' experience as did 2 of the other comeptitors Jason Kane and Dave Pearson. Pearson was the heavy favorite based on his experience- Still Luc drilled him in the final im told-practically never missing a ball.

This was a Allen Hopkins Event and will be shown on ESPN in the future. Jeanette Lee was the other participant.

Is that the same Jason Kane from NYC? I didn't know he played speed pool. What are the rules?

What was Jeanette Lee doing in a speed pool tourney? LOL!

I would assume she was there because of what she will do for the TV ratings when the event airs on ESPN, not because of her "speed pool" abilities.

Yeah that is him- about 4 years ago he won a Speed Pool tournament in Vegas winning $10K.

Basically u break a full rack and shoot them anywhere as fast as possible- U have to wait til the CB stops but not the others. The stategy is to play the right balls at the right time to limit CB movement and not miss. But sometimes you miss on purpose just to get the CB in the right spot for some other good quick shots.

It is a race against the clock but most matches are played side by side on 2 tables to make it spectator friendly. There are 5 second penalties for a few things incl shooting before the CB stops.

That is about all i know from watching a few matches in Vegas.

Exactly-She is probably an extra 200,000 viewers anytime she is on TV. They will advertise her like crazy. Allen has a nose for $$ for sure.

The players literally have to run around the table and with Jeanette's back and all, i dont think she could be that competitive (easy Willie) in this event.

Ellie C from NYC once won the womens div is Vegas at the BCA and never played it again. She hated the running and felt it was somewhat undignifed.

I seem to remember Romana Dokovic also winning a speed pool tournament in Vegas, but I could be wrong.
