Lucasi butt composition

I have a Lucasi L-2004NB cue that i am looking to have made into a 3 piece jump break cue. I know other cue manufacturers like mcdermott put a steel rod in the butt and layer offset the butt pieces to add strength.... does anyone know how the butt of a lucasi is designed?

this is the cue i am looking at making into the jump/break. looking at adding a uni-loc joint right below the checkered ring where the linen wrap starts... and the sole reason i am doing this is because the other cue i have matches this perfect, it has a gray stain instead of the natural wood color in this one, and i want to be different and not buy a jump/break everyone else has. Any help is much appreciated!!

I've wrapped many Lucasis (who hasn't?) but have never had the occasion to take one apart. I've got a broken one in the shop but just haven't had the time to show it any interest. However, from what I can see, it's a std. tenon 'A' joint.

You'll know soon enough once you make the cut.
For what you want to do, it doesn't make much difference. I'd be mindful of the A-jnt. deco ring. You don't want to leave it by itself as the very end of your jump handle. Legal minimum cue length may make this a moot point.

The cue should jump OK but would likely jump better without the SS jnt. collar.
It's additional wght. and the best jump cues are outrageously light.
