I just bought this case and received it today, I chose this case based on the features listed by the seller, my intention is not to bash the seller but to give you a unbiased review based on the case I received, I am in no way affiliated with JB Cases or Lucasi in anyway, My reason for this review is to let anyone who is thinking of purchasing this case my personal experience, JB cases has a long history of quality cases, Lucasi put the Hybrid 3x4 with a similar interior to the JB case, how do they compare? I tried fitting 3 butts into the Lucasi case the butt measurements are David Tice Sneaky Pete butt 32.21mm BeCue Break cue butt 30.65mm and McDermott G229 cue 32.38 sized butts would not fit in the Lucasi case, I did not find these butts an excessive size which makes the Lucasi case a fail in a 3x4 configuration, tried different ways but could not find away to fit 3 butts into this case, with the uniqueness of the case I looked for other benefits to this case, how could you not look at one of the best benefits of this case which is the Hybrid part of this case, this is a huge benefit, there is so much room, it holds both a jump cue AND extensions, great idea, so I decided to keep the case, it is really a 2 butt 5 shaft case, not exactly as advertised, maybe next year I can John to build me a TRUE Hybrid case, I would have to rate this case 6 out of 10, hope this review will help , now go practice and I will see you there !!!!!

I have a few questions:
How is the case as far as transporting your cues? Do they move at all inside?

Do you find the case heavy when fully loaded with your cues and gear?

I see the bottom uses feet held on by screws, but is the bottom reinforced at all?

It looks like the handle attachments aren't reinforced at all. Is there thicker material that the handles and backpack straps attach to?

Happy to help, the cues do not move inside while transporting the cues, they are snug and don't fall out with the case turned upside down, trying to install the third butt felt like it would damage the cues, way to tight, 2 butts and 4 shafts is no problem and you can easily add another shaft, the bottom of the case is solid and the feet are made of plastic and riveted in, this would be acceptable on a cheaper case but another reason for the low score, the handles are made of thick nylon and riveted in with big rivets, I don't see them as being a problem, there is a piece of nylon at the top and bottom of the shoulder straps which is goes into a strap that goes around the top and bottom of the case and riveted in with the same big rivets used on the handle, that should not be a problem either, the case is not heavy, not being able to carry 3 butts is the main problem, really wanted to carry my sneaky pete with me which is why I bought the case. Hope this helps!

I'm having a 4x8 case made but I'm still looking for another case to use for storage. I was considering this but if the third butt won't fit then it's no good for me. Thanks for the info!

I have this case also. I found that in order to get 3 butts into it they had to be bumper down, although mine are a little thinner than normal (I don't know the exact width at the base), the cues are in there really solid. What I did not like is how far inside the case the dividers are. Things I really like about it: STORAGE!! there's a ton of pockets.

All that being said, I just purchased the new CueTec Ghost Edition 4x8 butterfly case. It's basically the same price, but the ease of use is far superior.
