Agreed.
I've played on the Predator 314-2, Z, Z-2, OB 1,2 and classic, McDermott I-2 and I-3 and now the Lucasi hybrid zero flex slim shaft as well. I'd have to agree that this shaft is virtually equal to the competition in lowering deflection and squirt. (I'm a geek and technology + pool = a combination of orgasmic magnitude for me. That being said, I'd love to check out a Predator P3 if someone has one for a decent price please pm)
The one thing that I'd say is that the cushioning under the ferrule on predator shafts, the feeling that some players describe as "mushy" is the main difference between these shafts. This shaft gives a very solid hit, and the one I'm testing is actually on a uniloc pin, came with a medium moori tip.
I personally like the cushioned feeling of the predator shaft. I'd describe the hit from this lucasi shaft as solid to the point that it's almost rigid. Some people prefer that. I believe it comes down to personal preference IMO.
So in closing, virtually equal in lowering deflection and squirt with a stiffer hit than the competition at significantly cheaper costs.
