A recent thread on aiming systems got me thinking about a simple guide to help determine 1/4,1/2,3/4 ball cut angles. So I made a very simple template that anyone can print, cut out, and use for reference. I hope this might help out a few people. I'm thinking that with a little imagination you'all can figure out what to do with it. I'd love to hear feedback if you do try it - I can easily make improvements.

I revised the aim training template

A more recent thread has got me thinking again about this aim training paper template. I fixed an error I had on the template where 1/4 and 3/4 ball aims were swapped. I also added a quick image to explain how to use the template. Hope this helps someone.

I find the fractional ball aiming techniques particularly useful for table-length shots, shots where the CB and OB are very close to each other, and especially for safety play where the OB is near the rail. In one practice session you can forever memorize what kind of hit to make on a OB near a rail for a few common safety shots. For example, on a 1/4 ball stun hit, the OB and CB travel about the same distance after contact!
