Mali Pin Size

I'm hoping a maker can answer this question.

A friend has a Mali with a piloted steel joint which looks to be a 5/16x14 pin, but a standard 5/16x14 OB shaft will not thread on. The thread pitch matches to 14 but is the pin slightly oversized on Mali? Any help is greatly appreciated.

Mali originals used a couple of different joint screws. One of the most popular was a .298x14 quick release and 3/8x10. Do you have an old Mali or a new one made over seas. Either way it could be an easy fix if you take the drive to R. I.

Hey Mike,

It's not my cue, it's a buddy's. The cue is at least 20 years old. When his shaft comes and it doesn't fit, he'll have to bring it to you.
