Not much of help to me at the moment since I am in Singapore. But I think many here will benefit from it.. especially those thinking of hitting the road. I have not personally tried it yet... hope it is of use.. Take care.

Really cool. I expected more density in states like Texas, and the South in general. But I guess a lot of people play strictly barbox. Interesting that the Northeast is so much more dense in poolrooms than the rest of the country.

The map (although incomplete) represents fairly accurately the density of pool rooms around the USA.

In the Detroit area, they don't even show half of the good pool halls. And I'm not talking about barbox places, I mean pool halls with 20 or more 9 foot tables. I think money for advertising has a lot to do with whether or not it's on that site.

I noticed that also, I mean Hall of Fame is not shown on the map!! I could name like five more in the MI. state that are not there. Not to mention the rooms in Toledo (Glass City is there but still has old address)

They tell you it is not complete. You can add your favorite pool room to the list very easily. If enough people take a couple of minutes to do this, it could end up being a very valuable site for anyone traveling.

The map pretty much looks like it tracks population density. There are more poolrooms in the northeast because there are more people concentrated in the northeast. Here is a map of population density. Note the similarity.

More interesting would be a map of poolroom density divided by population density.

I don't understand why WI(Milwaukee)'s most popular pool hall Romines or Sharky's isn't on there.

why not stop saying whats not good on the map, and add the info u know to it so it gets more and more usefull like it has been posted. anyway i LOVE the idea, and ill try to do the same for Belgium/europe on my own site. !!!

love it, like it, plz add your info to it!!

(i do miss the info about how many tables and what tables they have, that would be AMAZING info)

So go add it :P

There's a buttload of places in my area that aren't on there either - I'll be adding those. Look for the link just above the main map area to get to the add-a-place form. It appears any added spots require approval, so don't expect'em to show up instantly.

This would be so much cooler if it were done with Google Maps (like a lot of similar projects have been)...

(Sorry, that's the web developer in me talking :D)
