Maple Ferrule

Has anyone made any maple ferrules like on the OB shafts?
I have one that looks as if it spirals and another that looks to be 39 small wafers.
Just curious if something happened to one are they able to be made or is there a source to purchase them.

I don't know of anyone who sells them but they've been made.
