mastercue or omin

Both of these Thai brands make good cues but your not really comparing like for like as the omin classic is a plain cue with no decorative splice/s thus it's a cheaper cue to make and should be priced so, new or second hand.

both are 2nd hand..i agree on the design..but what i really what is to know how each of them hit..hope to hear some opinion..gonna try them out soon

Take two cues each with an identical spec each with an equally decent piece of ash as the shaft, each tipped with an identical tip, each finished to be as smooth as the other. Play with said cues alternative frames of snooker for 10 hours, 50 hours 10 weeks 50 years or however long you like and one wont hit better than the other regardless of who made them. (in fact blindfold i'd bet 99.9% of players amatuer or pro wouldn't know which one they were holding)

It's extremely unlikely they will be the same spec and by playing a few frames with each you should be able to state a preference, but your preference may not be the same as anyone elses.

Remember theres guys out there playing snooker /pool etc very sucessfully with what another man may describe as a broom handle tipped with a jelly tot

yes i agree with you..but at some stage of improvement u do need some better cue with much constant performance

I'm afraid your not getting what i' m saying, A better cue is a better made cue, a prettier cue, a cue which incliudes rarer woods, and usually you get what you pay for meaning the dearer the cue the better it is But if all else is the same (spec and finish) then from a playing point of view there is no difference whatsoever.

Asking which feels better an omin or a mastercue or which hit is better is akin to asking which will produce the best novel a pen or a pencil.
