When Efren began his graceful glide into retirement, my favorite one-pocket player to watch became T-Rex.
Now, Alex has a more outgoing personality, and many believe he’s a better player; perhaps the best. But for sheer shot-delight … give me Tony.
Dennis has amazing skills, but his perpetually dour expression … ah, it just doesn’t look like he’s having much fun. Plus, he can be excruciatingly slow.
So, Tony Chohan. But wait … along came Filler. I found myself rooting for him even against Tony.
So, Josh Filler. But wait … along came Gorst. Even younger, but with a similar talent for shotmaking.
Josh and Fedor (Fyodr?) are regarded with some skepticism by some of the old guard. They don’t know the moves, they don’t have an overall strategic understanding of the game. Similar to the observations leveled at Jayson Shaw playing 14.1.
Not to say who the best one-pocket player is, but for sheer viewing enjoyment, I’ll go with T-Rex, Josh, and Fedor.
