For all you pool fans that like to see pool portrayed in a positive light in the eyes of the media, you should check out the 13 minute interview of Max Eberle and I on the John Boy and Billy Show that took place on September 12, 2003. For you people that have not heard of the John Boy and Billy Show, it is a popular radio show in the South that has numerous syndicates nationwide. After we were on the show, they said anywhere from 3 to 5 million viewers heard our interview. Max and I were invited on the show with the help of our sponsor, Scott Taylor of Cuesight.com and Fury Cues. We were asked questions about how we became pros and what it takes to reach the professional level. It turns out that John Boy is a big fan of pool and even took us took us to his local hang out to play some pool. The reason that I wanted to inform the Azbilliard Forum of this event was this is the way that pool will become more popular. Pool players and people in the industry have made the mistake of waiting for the media to come to them. Why not go to them? We can show them that pool is a game of beauty and not a back room game that is played by thugs that will break your thumbs if you beat them.
