In search for front balanced 3/8x10 butt I found a McDermott element cue series which is a mixture of wood and CF overlay.

http://www.ebay.com/itm/McDermott-E...444&pid=100033&prg=1011&rk=4&sd=290799056893&

I consider getting the cue, cause it's one of few wrapless 3/8x10 pin with SS collar, which should be front balanced.

I'd use it with Ob-1 and Ob-2 shaft, do you think that the cf butt feel would be noticable with that shafts ? I know there are a lot of complaints about CF cues, but does the butt really makes any difference ?

Anyone?

as long as the butt is solid
and there's no issues with the ajoint then it all comes down to the
balance of the cue.If you like the balance of the cue with the shaft
it comes with,it would be in your best interest to find a LD shaft
that weighs the same or very close.
I find the balance of the cue is one of the main components to
loving a cue.Goodluck
