I figured I would show off some purchases I have made in the last year. Both cues are the mcdermott M33A classic. I like the simple design a lot and the balance point is the best I have ever had on a mcdermott. Add your choice of LD shaft, I have all three the G-core, I2, and I3 shaft, and this thing plays lights out. I tend to stick the the I3 shaft though.
I only have stock pictures of the production M33A. Those pictures I will post first. This cue is about 18 oz with any of the shafts and shoots great.
The bottom pictures if of a custom M33A built to specs for someone that I picked up. It has a leather wrap, the points are done differently, the weight was cut down to 16 oz with any of the shafts, and there are another set of rings above the wrap. Balance point is still great for a cue this light and I really enjoy playing with a lighter cue.
so what do you think? I know neither are custom cues like some shown on this site, but these are some of the best playing mcdermott cues I have used and I use both as my playing cues. These hit better than the COTY cues, D series, other M series, C series, E series, RS series, and G series cues I have tried and I am happy to own and play with them. The simple elegance is just a plus.
