I just got a McDermott cue as a gift and I really like it.I was wondering if they all come with Triangle tips.If so I might switch fron LePros
Thanks

I don't know if they all come with Triangles. The Lepro's that are made today are very inconsistant, where Triangles are consistant. If some insist on having a lepro because they like the hit, I suggest they use a Sumo.

Your correct about the Lepros, not what they were years ago. I use to get a few choice tips from a box, now days lucky to find 1 tip that is the same as the commons were in a box back then.

I had switched to moori a couple of years ago, and have been happy for the most part. I have noticed, of those willing to spend the extra money, that alot of lepro users really like the moori as well. Getting where I am almost putting on as many of those as the lower priced tips now days. Greg

I used to be die hard Lepro but since the introduction to layered tips I would'nt be cought dead with one. I reall like the feel and playability of some of the layered tips out there... Ok, the Sumo does it come in different hardness' I had a Sumo on my cue not too long ago and it was hard as a rock. Completely different then a Lepro. I really like the Sumo tip. The cueball semmed to explode off of the tip. If you didn't stroke it well you miscued. If you hit it good you got a ton of action if needed.

The Sumo tips are hard as a rock and that is what I have on my break jump cue.

They come in one hardness only. I prefer a hard tip, I never miscued with them. My tip of choice is a Hercules hard if I in the mood for a little extra english, my other shaft has a moori medium on it.

I too have always used and prefered the LePro tip. I have had a Talisman Pro Medium on my cue for about 6 weeks now and really like it. I have also used the Moori's, Triangle and WB and now prefer the Talisman Pro Medium tip.
I have some of the new Ohuro (sp) tips that were offered here on AZ. I'm going to put one of those on one of my cues and see what I think of them.

That's the right thing to do Zim. As someone learning cue repairs and cue making, you should try every tip you carry so you know exactly what your selling.
