Mcues Tulipwood cue
I picked up my billiard cue, two months ago, from Mcues workshop on Long Island, N.Y., and went straight to my pool room to try it out. I cannot describe the feeling I got in my hand, when I struck the cue ball for the first shot. It was a feeling of both power and control, which not all cues possess. It plays like a magic wand.
Having played pool and billiards for the past 50+ years, and having dealt in cues, I can honestly say that this cue is one of the best hitting cues I have ever played with. The hit is solid and uniform regardless of the strength of the stroke or the amount of English used.
Miguel Torres, former United States 3 Cushion Champion, used my cue in the Challenge Match, at my home room, in Hicksville, New York. He found it to be a solid cue with a great feel and loved it's action. Personally, I would highly recommend Mcues to all mid and high level players looking for a quality cue. Contact Mcues at Mcues3@aol.com to learn more about his excellent cues.
Mario is well known in the New York area for his exceptional pool cues. This billiard cue clearly shows his artistry and versatility as an exceptional billiard cue maker as well.
Construction: The cue butt sleeve is made of Bloodwood; the handle of Tulipwood and Bloodwood; 1 1/4" alternating segments with rings made of 1/4" Bacote. Mario uses a rigid wood core to secure the segments. The fore-arm is Tulipwood and the joint is flat faced to receive a G-10 pin. The shaft has a regular 3 cushion taper with a laminated medium tip (Moori). Total weight: 18.5 oz.
