This is Scott "the shot" Smith and l was Steve's T.D. for the Senior Tour that was
sponsored by the Seminole
Tribe of Florida. I flew into Fla. to work a stop on the Senior Tour and the Miz picked me up at the airport.
Bare in mind, it was after the Miz had had a stroke! I got in his car and he told me
that l was "his eyes" on the passenger's side of the car.
Fortuneitly(sp) there weren't
any incidents, but l was thinking that the Miz was a little crazy!
The Miz played in the Texas River City Open that Sid Mann produced at the Villa Capri Hotel in Austin,Tx. It was only my 2nd event as Tournament Director and on the 2nd or 3rd day of the tournament
and several weird situations
came up and l was struggling a little bit dealing with them! Well things calmed down and l walked back to my desk. The Miz
was sitting there and said to me,"so how do you like being
tournament director kid?" with a grin on his face!
The Miz and Mrs.Miz
took me to dinner at one of the senior events and while at dinner l used the "F" word.
Karen left the table for a minute during dinner and Miz said to me, "Scott don't
ever use that word again around my wife!" The Miz was a perfect gentleman and a class guy that l truly loved. R.I.P. Miz

Hi Mr. Smith. It just so happened I was watching the Schmidt/Dominguez match yesterday and one of the commentators mentioned you. They mentioned that you were a very good player. I realized that I had not seen you at a tournament in a long time so I Googled you and checked to see if you were on here. I'm glad to see you on here. You are like Miles Lane in boxing or AL Michael's in football. There won't be another Scott Smith. Your voice is synonymous with pool. Thank you.
