Pool is alive and well in the Memphis area.* "Highpockets" has a weekly $10 entry handicap tournament every Thursday....this last week there were 41 players and a $300 1st place, 180 second, 90 for 3rd and 4th.* $200 is added every week if there are more than 32 players.One-Pocket!!!! There were 32 players in a $60 entry, $500 added tournament.* It is a SCHEDULE-YOUR-MATCH, PLAY-TIL-ALL-THE-BALLS ARE GONE tournament.* Handicaps range from 60 ball down to 20 balls with the likes of Jason Evans, Nick Vita, and Robert Yates being the Highs.* The tournament is in it's final stages with Kinnard Mays (55) winning the winners side.* The five on the losers side: Charles Rosenblatt*** (55)* vs Jason Evans (60)** and Bill Rowsey (55) vs Paul Dodge (50) /// waiting for these matches is Matt Crews (45).* There was an auction also.* 1st will pay $1500!!!The "VIKING TOUR IS COMING THIS WEEK-END".** BE THERE!!!* The Tables have been reconditioned with new facings and cloth.* There is a GOLD CROWN II with REAL KING COBRA RAIL EXTENSIONS AND 4" POCKETS!!* There are new faces back in town, Nick Vita, Jason Evans, John Reese, Kinnard Mays and others.** Kinnnard and Bill Rowsey are working hard to bring once dormant room back to the state it was in the 80's when "St. Louis" Louie Roberts was the house pro.** Be there Sat July 19th at 1:00 pm for this event.....bill rowsey* cell 901-277-3740.
