Hello Shawn, the mental side of my game is a real problem. I have a hard time staying focused late in a tournament. My concentration starts to wonder during a match also. I play good for the first two or three matches then I start missing shots that I normally make consistently. Some are fairly easy shots also. How do you mentally prepare before a match and tournament.

Thanks for the tips on the break, telling me how to stand and push off with my back foot has helped me alot.

Hi Bill.

It sounds crazy but, I don't eat anything all day until I'm done playing for the day.

Your body uses alot of energy to digest food so if your eating during a tournament, that may be one of the reasons.

Feeling run down= drink a couple Red Bulls and get ready for a rush.

Also you can pretend every ball is a 9-ball.

Bare down in practice also. If your not sweating within 20 min. your not concentrating hard enough.
