just would like to say that I have been reading these posts for a while now and decided to join this forum. I am from Arkansas and have been playing pool seriously for about six years now. Bought a pool table and Robert Byrne's book of pool and billiards and began learning through the trial and error method. Until recently I have mainly spent my time at the table practicing alone, but since I've reached the point that I can call myself a pool player I have enjoyed playing pool with other people and discussing the sport with them.

I'm wondering if the world pool championships are going to be televised this summer as they were last summer on Fox Sports World. In my opinion these were some very competitive and entertaining matches. (especially Earl Strickland vs. Steve Davis). People who enjoy watching pool got to see players from around the world that they would normally not get to see.

Anyway, just wanted to say hello.

welcome! good to have ya. here you will see brilliant posts from people such as myself, the silencer, drivemaker, beeman, and gremlin. anyhow, i believe there is an excellent chance, the world championships will be live this year on fox world. just have this feeling.

LOL! Forget which alias you were using?

Welcome to the board!! Great to have you. In my opinion this is the best billiards based board on the web, except for the few that try to ruin it. Have fun and enjoy your stay :)

Actually, I think that was simply a grammatical error. He was trying to define himself. It'd be like saying, "I, John Smith, am a man of honor". He just uses so many commas that it's hard to determine what means what.

Welcome to the board. Feel free to join the Arkansas Pool Player's Association for tournaments if you haven't already. www.arkansaspool.com
