Metric End Mills

Any of the larger tool supply houses can supply you with metric endmills. Here are a couple that I deal with. Price will vary depending on whether you're looking for carbide or HSS.

Just for a little clarification and to delve a little deeper into the subject, why are you looking for metric?

The 3 sizes you mentioned caught my attention because they are very close to 'inch' sizes. 1mm = .03937" (for this example, let's say .040").

3mm x .040 = .120" (close to .125" or 1/8)

8mm x .040 = .320" (close to .3125 or 5/16)

11mm x .040 = .440" (close to .4375 or 7/16)

Generally, when you are trying to mill to an exact size and you don't have that particular size endmill, you can use the next size smaller and adjust the table on the 'y' axis, whatever the difference is, on the return pass.

Hope this helps, KJ

I tried to PM you back but you need to to make some space in your box.

Well, the thought of you doing dots crossed my mind as I was writing my post. Honestly, I'd wait until I had the 'dot' mtrl. in hand and measure it yourself before ordering ANY endmill.

If your spindle has any run-out at all, you'll actually be milling a larger hole than what the endmill is. Also, you'd want what is called a 'center-cutting' endmill.
