It may depend on the age. There was the old material that was uniform in color, kind of almost tan that was PVC. Later on, there was a yellowish ABS. It had a little "grain" to the color.
It was specially made for them. I was told it was a special type of PVC by the owner of Sweetwater Cues when I bought a bunch of it when they closed down. I wish I had held onto it instead of selling them all off at a few dollars a piece.
