Meucci logo

What year did Meucci go from the Meucci Originals logo to the script Meucci logo?

I don't know the exact year but I think late 80s to early 90s. Unfortunately in the last few years they have made some of the historically popular models with the old originals logo on them so it's not really helped their collector value. A dead giveaway is if the cue has a new style shaft, black dot probably, it's a newer remake. The older ones are more desireable and play better.

It was a long process where they'd make the exact same cue and put either logo on.

1989-1990 they were making cues and using both logos.

It did not just change overnight. The Blue Book may be a good reference for some

things but that's all...just a reference. Not all the facts are correct.

Especially cue prices.:lmao:

I ask the question because I've seen the receipt of a cue stick purchased from a Meucci dealer dated late 1988 and the cue stick had the Meucci logo in script. I knew when I saw the Blue said 1990, it was definitely incorrect.

I believe Poolguy had the answer, - just above.

Now with the new lines using the old logo, we are often left in the dark. Especially when the new ones are sold on Ebay as "Antique" cues.
