There was a post a few week backs. A guy was asking about them. His title was Meucci Millenium Billiard Set. Maybe he should have put pool ball set.

I chimed in with pics of the set i had and the info i knew.

I was at the BCA trade show probably 1999 in Orlando. That is where these were premiered. There was 2 sets a premium and a lower set. I bought the premier set. The cost was if i remember 137 shipped. The balls were an awsome design. The numbers were inset in a black background and looked awsome. the cue ball had a red line around it and a Meucci style M connected the line. The balls played heavy in my opinion. I played with them one session and it seemed they werent very durable. After one session i have a 3 ball with a gauge and another ball with a bad mark on it.

Value today is a good question . i still have them in the box.

The box was awsome the sides had pictures of all pros at the time that were sponsored by Meucci. Ill get a pic up in a little while.

Anyone else out there with any info on a value of any sorts.

Thanks.

If I recall, they are polyester-based balls. Polyester is crap and not valuable at all. If you get $50 back out of them, consider yourself lucky.

When I was really getting into league play and beyond-banger level pool, I started with a Meucci cue. I naively assumed everything Meucci was good quality, and would pay a premium for the name.

I also routinely searched eBay for Meucci items that were unique for my "collection." While there are a few Meucci fans/collectors on AZ, your target market is on eBay. I would list the ball set with good pictures and a few key words like "limited production" or "rare" in addition to the best key word of all... "Vintage." I'd be amazed if you didn't sell the set for a $125 Buy it Now price on a 7 day fixed price listing.

I also used to sell old bikes from goodwill, bought for less than $20, as Vintage bikes for over $100. Price rarely has much relation to value.

Not looking to sell.

Just trying to find any info from anyone else. Its a cool collectors item. The box with all the pros is a cool touch.
