Where is the red dot sweet spot for english consistency located? Is it on one of the main grains or in between them?

Meucci red dot shaft question?

With no quality control, the red dot may end up anywhere.
Heck, there might even be black dots on the red dot shafts.
Just all a gimmick.

I know a lot of people have beaten em down on the forums.
I play a black dot, power piston demo cue. Have for 7 years I think. Left in my car in Central Michigan, year round for the first four years, played all the time(still do).
To this day, nothing, no problems whatsoever, zero warp, ands that's even after a water incident on the old table that stood for four hours. I like the black dot shaft, to me its like playing w forged irons-instant feedback.
I have a hof-1 w red dot too. Nice feel there too, more traditional feel.
Now I can get off my box.
It doesn't matter where that dot is, don't think about it. I thought maybe its supposed to be a certain way on certain shots when I got my first cue and instantly upon starting to play thought, that would just be too much attention to be paid to the cue during play and forgot about it. Not only that, I thought about how the cue tip would get worn in if always shooting the same.

That was what I was told about the dot but after not paying much attention to it, I realized it really does not matter. I have had red dot , black dot and currently play with a 41 year old MO-1.

I don't know about Red Dots but I have a Meucci Black Dot shaft on the cheapest Sneaky Pete Meucci makes. After a few hours of keeping the dot on top I forgot forgot where the dot was.
I briefly tried a Predator 314-2 and still have an OB Classic shaft and the Meucci Black Dot shoots better for me then the others, or maybe I think it does because of a tournament I won using it.
I know that cheap old Meucci Sneaky with the Black Dot shaft was good enough for me to use to bring home $3,700.00 in a tournament with 63 other players a few years ago.
Knowing what I know about wood and laminated wood I doubt there is any big playing difference between any of the laminated shafts. No matter how one spins it.
