A friend sent me this cue, pretty cool. I'd like to know about it's history. Seems like there were several iterations of this cue from Meucci, including a run for Loree Jon Hasson?

From what I know, this version of the logo was started in '89, or '90. This cue may be the HOF-5 cue. I'd appreciate any other info about it, thanks in advance.

Fairly new cue then. The LJ3 was wood and the HOF5 is one of those lipstick tube power-pistons. LJ3 also had the old logo iirc.
Power piston a failed technology upgrade from Meucci? Based on the physics of a dead blow hammer perhaps.

PP is a plastic tube with a laminated wooden core. Bob says it compresses/de-compresses during the strike increasing power. They still use it on a lot of their cues. I've hit one and saw no difference. IMO its nothing but a cost saving measure.
