Mezz Avant (Wavy 2) Cue Review

From the link that you posted

"The final decision rests with the TSA officer on whether an item is allowed through the checkpoin" .

It's common knowledge you cannot bring cues on a plane. The "final decision" comment is there because it's at the bottom of each page and it is there to give the power to the officer on the spot so it does not become major ordeal - meaning it should all end right there on the spot, not available to go "up the ladder".

Also, you wrote - "When leaving from the US it's sometimes a problem, depending on the airport and security people. I do think if it's broken down and inside your carry on, no one would bat an eye."

First sentence says it's "sometimes" a problem and the second sentence says "I do think if it's broken down....no one would bat an eye".

Which one is it? Have attempted it and been thwarted or have you never tried it?

All that being said - pics or didn't happen - bring a cue on a plane and take a picture. Otherwise, I would recommend you do not give recommendations for people to bring pool cues on planes.

FYI - I've been playing since the 80's and I've flown nearly a million miles.

Only once I couldn't bring a cue on the plane. Aside from that I don't need to prove anything to you, and anyway it is a stupid rule with no logic.

Ok and you're right, but you're on a public forum saying things that I have personal experience with (I also didn't mention my father retired from the TSA) and feel that your comments could lead someone to take their cue on a plane thinking it's ok - when it's not.

And it's not a stupid rule - it's a weapon.

Look, I hate the rule as much as you - it's why I pointed out how much I've traveled and how I know you can't take one - but at the end of the day I understand their reasoning. Would you want some guy like Dan Harriman or that other lunatic in the 626 thread on a plane with a weapon - me thinks not.

Funny story I just remembered - when my Uncle came home from Vietnam he was in LA and he walked up to the plane with his service rifle and paid $50 in cash at the airplane door, late 60's. Time's sure have changed :)
