hello,

I have an early Mezz Power Break 2 cue that I bought back in 2005, roughly.

Anyway, I have been using it a lot lately on bar box 8-ball. Love it for this purpose.

I miscued on a break last night and lost the tip.

Any suggestions on a replacement tip for this cue?

Yes, I might give them (Taom) a try.
Not sure where to pick one up from though?
Also I have seen some threads mentioning the cracking splitting factor

Taom 2.0 is the way to go.

I wouldnt be worried about the tip splitting, it wont crack if you break with even a half decent technique. It can be broken if you break like a moron and hit the extreme side of the tip, but only by doing that. I have damaged one on a break contest but that was purely my own fault  I am currently breaking with a BK2 with a Taom tip and I'm breaking better than ever. Changed to this combo from BK3 and white diamond and I can honestly say that Taom gives your break more control with less effort :)

Ok, thanks for the reply.

I was pretty happy with stock tip, I think it was a ingot compressed leather.

Play a lot of league 8-ball. Made around 6 eights on the break last season.
