Mezz WD700 shafts -- 12.8mm vs. 12.5mm

I am thinking of buying a Mezz cue and noticed that on the Mezz Website, the WD700 shaft is described as having a 12.5mm tip. On some sites selling Mezz cues, a cue with the WD700 shaft is described as having a 12.8mm tip.

I am guessing that there was a time when the WD700 had a 12.8mm tip, but that currently produced WD700s are 12.5.

Any Mezz experts out there willing to clarify this for me?

Your assumption is correct, they used to be 12.8 but have been 12.5 for quite a while now.
