I wish you would have posted this a little while ago; I just ordered a custom tulipwoodf/ebony Sledge, and I would have taken this burl otherwise :(

Hey Purd,

What makes these so much more expensive than the normal Sledghammer cues selling at 225-275$ right now. I am just curious!

Thanks,

Joe

Joe,

That's an easy one that even I can answer:

Burl
Silver
Ebony Handle

Joe, the economy Sledgehammers are imported from China. The RS Custom ($600) and the MG Customs are made by Mike. Burl wood, ebony handle, A,B,C,& D rings makes the MG custom differant from the RS models. The RS models have differant woods like Tulip, Cocobolo, Canary and other exotic woods. No rings.

Just curious, are these "economy" sledgehammers warranted any different by MG because i m more concerned about the product being backed up not really how fancy it is or where it came from.

You would be hard pressed to find someone that backs their products like Mike does. No matter which SledgeHammer you buy, you get a lifetime warranty. The man is good to go!!!!!

Don,

Thanks for the reply. I did realize that the one you pictured had burl and the silver rings but I did not know that the "regular" sledgehammer were a production cue made in China. Makes more sense now.

I have one of the production models and the shaft is narrow, Mike offered to make me a new shaft with his thick taper for $75.00. I am considering it. Even though mine is one of the less expensive Sledgehammers, I still like it and feel that it is a good product. Thanks for the clarification.

Hey Juston, how ya doing? My friend, you don't owe me anything. I have the Burl sledge for sale. Like new. One of the nicest ones I have seen. As a matter of fact, I think it is the one on his web page. List for $1,200, I put it on here for $900. I am of the old school, kick don't jump. Play the safes tight.
What the hell is all this ball in hand crap. Use to be you got shot for that BS.
You want to work something out on it, PM me. As long as we both win, I will go for it.
