Michigan Finals at the APA Nationals Masters event

Its rare that I post anymore but for this purpose felt I must. How often do we get to be so proud of our state for pool achievements? While the APA Masters Championships isn't the Mosconi Cup.......it certainly seemed that way to the State of Michigan last night!

Out of approx. 300 teams, 4 of the final 8 were Michigan teams and 3 out of the final 4 then the finals were all Michigan BABY!

Congrats to Triple Threat of Bay City/Saginaw area for their win over Fantastic Four from Battle Creek!

Triple Threat team members are: Curtis Thornton, Lupe Rosas and Rich Schmiegel. These guys play out of My Bar in Bay City Michigan.

The Fantastic Four team members are: Chad Palmer, Kelly Espinoza, Brent Canine and Tim Palmer.

I can tell you that facebook was buzzing last night and text messages were blowing up hundreds of phones across Michigan where game by game scores were being posted and sent out for all to keep up to date on the matches.

I must say guys.......for one night..............you made Michigan feel like we did win the Mosconi Cup!! Congrats to all the Michigan teams!!! You made an amazing showing.

I watched part of the semis and part of the finals and they all played very well.

Good job. I would like to see the final results.

If your gona gamble with some one and they say they are from Michigan. Beware!!!!

I know all them guys and their are many more champions from the area.

Anyone know how to subscribe to a thread on here?? I don't see how.

Them guys must have been having fun once they realized all were in the final 4. They play each other on occasions in MI and then again in this format is pretty dam cool.
