Hello Everyone. I would like to introduce you all to the Midwest Poolplayers Association (MPA). The MPA is a Minnesota non-profit corporation formed to promote pool through leagues and tournaments. Pool players pay a sanctioning fee to become members of the MPA, and all sanctioning fees are used to add money to pool tournaments throughout the pool season. The MPA has already grown strength to over 1,200 players in just a few short months. Players can take advantage of the MPA by participating in area pool tournaments, knowing that their sanctioning money is being returned to them in the form of added money. The first tournament was held at CR's Sports Bar in Coon Rapids, MN, and 87 players came to support this event.
I have several other MPA-sanctioned events scheduled through April 2011. The MPA Championships will be held on March 17-20, 2011, with $25,000 being Added to the prize fund. The site of this event will be Treasure Island Resort & Casino in Red Wing, Minnesota.
I invite you to check out the MPA website - www.mpapool.com - and see what the MPA has to offer the players. I invite your questions, comments, and your suggestions. You can also feel free to contact me personally at my e-mail - ctpool@aol.com - and I'll be happy to discuss the MPA with you. Hope to see you at some upcoming events!!!
