Mika Immonen is first Philippine open champ!!!

Congratulations mika! You truly are my idol! Although im sorry for my fellow country man, efren, unfortunately, he blew a fairly easy long shot, and cost him the championship, score was 13-12. What a way to end the first philippine open.

yeah, he's almost a filipino...most people call him here as an adopted son of the philippines and he loves it that way...:D

the match was just so exciting...
there were a lot of safety battles, lots of escapes, lots of great shots from a snooker, lots of drama, lots of lots. i couldnt ask for anything more from these two, definitely lifted the game to a higher level here.

they also made a number of uncharacteristic mistakes, but maybe because of wear and tear factors, efren and mika played two matches today respectively, with mika struggling to win over busty and efren...:)

they started 3-1 in favor of mika, and went down to as much as 9-4 but fought his way back to 10-10 and the drama went on better.

its gonna be one hell of a party over at his bar here in makati...wish i could go visit it there, but its 10:48 PM here and well, i have to sleep, im too tired to enjoy the party...:D

seeing as how bethesilentone had proclaimed stateside pinoys as kind-of american, and mika stays in the US/phillipines more than his homeland, it's fair to proclaim him as filipino:):):):),,,maybe pan-asian??
 
hehehe, from his pov, yep.

guess he really likes staying here because of the treatment and hospitality we give to visitors like him, especially knowing that he is a pool champion, he has lots of fans here, whether pool fanatics, or girls...lol!
 
i think mika's the only person besides django who can match up with efren...just watched the game again...hehehe
